Maelogan's Mysterious Morning

Congratulation, Heidi, on winning the winter fairy in our drawing!

The fairies and I invite you to join us in
blogging a "Story-Go-Round"...
I shall begin the story.
Then it is your turn to keep the story going.

Maelogan the young fairy awoke early and crept from his warm twig bed. He looked out the window. The winter snow was melting and the air was a bit warmer. He laughed and dashed to the table where his mother was preparing breakfast.

"Mother, may I go to the creek today with my friends...please? I promise to be careful."

Maelogan's mother smiled. "OK, but you must take Melangell with you."

At the mention of his name, the Corgi dog sat up and barked his excitement. As Maelogan and his dog prepared to leave, his mother handed him some fairy food and sprinkled fairy dust on them. Just in case.

Soon the pair came close to the creek. Maelogan flew to the top of one of the boulders that edged the creek and looked over the top. There he saw...
